We are hiring for three contracted positions. All positions are open to individuals who identify as Indigenous, Black, or Person of Color who are authorized to work in Canada (Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident or with a valid open work permit). All services at Nabat will be registered with common insurance and benefit providers (FNHA, ICBC, MSP, etc), as well as refugee specific insurance (IFHP). Prior lived or professional experience with displacement and migration is highly desirable. Fluency in additional language/s is an asset (Arabic, Farsi, Tigriniya,Spanish, Creole, etc).
All services are rooted in: social justice, anti-oppression, gender inclusive and gender affirming practices. This include familiarity with Health at Every Size model, knowledge of ongoing and historical legacy of colonization and residential school system, pro-choice values, gender affirming care, and harm reduction principles.

Nabat is looking for an experienced psychologist or clinical social worker (RSW) to join the team of allied health practitioners. We are looking for a person with +5 years of post graduation experience, well-developed understanding and approach to trauma care and familiar with anti-colonial and anti-oppression practices within mental health. Lived experience of, or professional background working with, displacement, migration, or precarious immigration status is an asset. Candidates need to demonstrate understanding of the role of social work in violence against Indigenous communities and other targeted populations. Compensation range: $140-250 per client, with 30/70 split.

Nabat is looking for an experienced physical therapists- including physiotherapsits, RMT’s, osteopaths- to join the team of allied health practitioners. We are looking for a person with +2 years of experienced as a registered therapist the College of Physiotherapist or the College of Health and Care professionals of BC. The right candidate can support clients who face a wide range of challenges, and also has strong understanding and skills in responding to procedures pertaining gender affirming care, including top and bottom surgeries. Compensation range: $70-140/hour, & 40/60 fee split.
The practitioner must demonstrate solid skills in consent-based practice and trauma-informed care.
